Nature Walk—Shorelines Project at Giant Marsh

Join SPAWNERS for a walk around the Giant Marsh Project at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline! Marilyn Latta, Program Manager for California’s State Coastal Conservancy and the SF Bay Living Shorelines Project, will be lead us around the site, describing everything that went into integrating eelgrass and native oyster restoration with wetland and upland transition zone restoration treatments at one Bay location. This groundbreaking project is just one piece of an entire vision for a healthier, more resilient North Richmond Shoreline, which we’ll discuss more during the walk. The tide should be low enough for us to catch a glimpse of some of the oyster reef elements!
