What: Creek Stewardship Work Day

When: 9:30am - 12:00pm Saturday

Where:  El Sobrante Boys and Girls Club, 4660 Appian Way, El Sobrante, CA 94803

Details: This spring we are caring for our newly planted restoration site along Appian Creek at the Boys and Girls Club. Help transform this forgotten stretch of creek into a blooming and healthy place for kids to play and learn. We will be weeding out invasive grasses and shrubs, building a footpath to the creek, and planting native trees and flowers.

All ages welcome. No training necessary. Please wear sturdy shoes and comfortable work clothes. SPAWNERS will provide tools and refreshments.

What: Earth Day Celebration and Clean Up

When: 9:00am - 12:00pm Saturday

Where:  El Sobrante Boys and Girls Club, 4660 Appian Way, El Sobrante, CA 94803

Details: Celebrate Earth Day and SPAWNERS’ ten year anniversary of
community-based action to protect San Pablo Creek. We will be hosting
a creek clean up in the morning as part of the county-wide Creeks
Challenge, followed by a community BBQ for all clean up participants.
Prizes, educational activities for kids, free food, and the chance to
help make our community a cleaner and healthier place make this a very
special event. We hope you will join us.
